2022 USSF Powerlifting and Strengthlifting Championships

The United States Strengthlifting Federation and Barbell Logic would like to invite our competitors to compete in-person, head to head, in beautiful St. Louis for the title of the Champion. The hardest competition, the greatest prizes, and the most glory is on the line!

In order to qualify for this event you must have totaled in a USSF Sanctioned Event in 2022. Competitors may compete in Powerlifting (Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift), Strengthlifting (Press, Conventional Deadlift), or both if they are qualified.

Rules

  1. Competition takes place between lifters in categories defined by sex, bodyweight, and age. There are twenty six classes:
  • Open Division
    • Lightweight I: Up to 150lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Master: Over 40 years old
    • Lightweight II: Up to 175lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Master: Over 40 years old
    • Middleweight I: Up to 200lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Master: Over 40 years old
    • Middleweight II: Up to 225lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Master: Over 40 years old
    • Heavyweight I: Up to 250lbs
      • Adult: 20-39years old
      • Master: Over 40 Years Old
    • Heavyweight II: Over 250lbs
      • Adult: 20-39years old
      • Master: Over 40 Years Old
    • Junior: Under 20 Years Old
  • Women’s Division
    • Lightweight I: Up to 120lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Masters: Over 40 years old
    • Lightweight II: Up to 140lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Masters: Over 40 years old
    • Middleweight I: Up to 160lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Masters: Over 40 years old
    • Middleweight II: Up to 180lbs
      • Adult: 20-39 years old
      • Masters: Over 40 years old
    • Heavyweight I: Up to 200lbs
      • Adult:20-39 years old
      • Masters: Over 40 years old
    • Heavyweight II: Over 200lbs

  • Junior: Under 20 years old

2. The summation of a lifters best Squat, Bench, and Deadlift (Powerlifting), and/or Press and Conventional Deadlift (Strengthlifting) will constitute their total. Winners for each category will be determined by the highest total. If two lifters are tied, the lighter lifter will be declared the winner.

3. A non-supportive singlet, collarless t-shirt, pair of shoes, and knee high socks are required. For more information reference the detailed ruleset at usstrengthlifting.com/rules.

4. For the safety of our competitors and in the name of fairness of competition, the USSF does not conduct weigh-ins. Weigh outs will be performed immediately following a lifters final attempt on the platform.

5. There are no commands. A lifter merely needs to demonstrate proper control and execution of the lifts as detailed in the rules linked above.
