USSF Strenghlifting Seminar
May 18 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PDT$225
Overview: The United States Strengthlifting Federation Strengthlifts seminar is designed for competitors, coaches, or for anyone looking to improve their general strength. Hosted by Strength Warehouse, instructed by the USSF President Jordan Stanton and the coaches of Stanton Strength, learn what it takes to become strong using the squat, the press, and the deadlift.
The day will begin with several lectures discussing: the importance of strength, barbell physics, basic anatomy, the underlying models of the movements, and will progress to discussing training vs practice, how to maximize your efforts for competitive advantage, and how to prepare and excel at your first or your fiftieth competition.
We will then spend a considerable amount of time coaching each and every lifter through a series of warmups and work sets on the squat, the press, and the deadlift. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of how to perform these movements and why we perform them a specific way.
We will re-convene for a discussion on programming and how to taper for competition. We will then finish up the day with a Q/A.
Although there is additional information provided for competitive athletes, this seminar is appropriate for someone just starting out with strength training. So, whether you have just begun your strength journey or are looking towards become the next USSF champion, there is useful and relevant information for you.
Please come prepared in athletic clothing ready to move. Long socks are required for the deadlift portion. Weightlifting shoes are highly recommended. Bring any belts, sleeves, or wrist wraps that you would normally use in your training.
